M2000 HIGH SPEED DIGITAL SCALE INDICATORS

M2000 high performance scale indicators are the industry standard for speed, versatility, and reliability. M2000 weighing systems can be custom-tailored to meet the needs of any application and are ideal for new installations as well as upgrades to existing systems. The M2000 Indicator performs equally well on heavy industrial (truck) scales and small capacity (packaging) scales.

The M2000 Indicator family includes:
• M2000A-3
3 Channel Indicator (2 COM Ports). One of the world’s best and most affordable high speed, fully featured indicators. For use with Analog loadcells.
• M2000A-1
Single Channel Indicator (1 COM Port). M2000A features and quality at a low cost. For use with Analog loadcells.

• M2000D

3 Channel Digital Technology Indicator (2 COM Ports). The M2000D Digital Smart Weigh System utilizes Digital Load Cell (DLC) technology to provide high-level data integrity, easier maintenance, and lightning protection for your weighing applications. Load cell connections to the DLC Smart Box (mounted on the weighbridge) are the same as connections to traditional analog summation cards. There are no pots to adjust and all sectional adjustments are made digitally through the keypad on the M2000D indicator. The M2000D allows implementation of all the advantages of a digital load cell system without being locked into proprietary digital load cell technology.

With its high sampling speed and high resolution converter technology, the M2000 can display up to 20,000 divisions, and is NTEP class III/IIIL certified to 10,000 divisions with sampling up to 100 times a second per channel, ideal for demanding weighing applications such as high speed batching. Having multi-channel capability (except M2000A-S) allows weighing of more than one scale.

M2000 scale indicators are available in a variety of enclosure types with various mounting options, and are suitable for different requirements and environmental conditions. To view a particular style, select it from the enclosure type list below.

REMOTE DISPLAYS (SCOREBOARDS)

The purpose of our remote displays is to display the weight sent from scale indicators, computers, or other controllers. All of our remote displays are equipped with a number of features that make it possible to extract the weight from any string of data that a scale indicator may send out. In addition, our remote displays are capable of displaying letters. They also automatically extract the units of measure and the weighing status from the data string and utilize a group of LEDs to indicate whether the weight is in Kilograms or Pounds, Gross Mode or Net Mode. High intensity super-bright red LEDs, viewable in direct sunlight at angles up to 90°, and tough weatherproof enclosures make our scoreboards suitable for any outdoor application. Configuration through DIP switches and "Auto-learning" capabilities (SB2005 only) allow an easy and quick setup for any job.

Our Scoreboards are available in different styles with various features. To view a particular style, find out its dimensions and other specifications, select it from the display type list below.

SMART1 CONTROLLER

Our SMART1 controllers greatly extend the capabilities of digital weight indicators. They are programmable devices that make it possible to utilize weight readings from one or more indicators in automated systems and process control applications.

Equipped with five serial communication ports as well as optional input and output circuits, SMART1 controllers can be connected to computers, PLCs, printers, displays, modems, magnet card readers, bar code scanners, infrared beam switches, inductive loops, push buttons, relays, solenoids, motors, and also to Ethernet and Modbus master or Modbus slave devices. SMART1 controllers can be programmed to work together in groups of two or more, to distribute tasks among themselves or to increase I/O capabilities and data storage space.
The SMART1's operator interface consists of a display screen and a keypad for alpha-numeric input.

The great versatility of the SMART1 makes it the perfect choice for custom-tailored projects.

As the heart of many control cabinets, SMART1 controllers are performing in process control applications such as:
• Grain elevators • Batch mixing plants • Unattended vehicle scales • Meat packaging • Fish filleting plants
• Livestock weighing • Waste disposal • Data logging • Serial multiplexing • Protocol conversion • and many more.

SMART1 controllers are available in a stainless steel desktop version, a NEMA4 wall mounting cabinet in stainless or mild steel, and in combination with an M2000 scale indicator as "Weigh Center".

JUNCTION BOXES

Digital Load-Cell Converters (used with M2000D)
With our DLCs the scale is safeguarded from voltage surges and lightning strikes by state of the art load cell protection. By optically isolating the load cells from the power (no direct electronic connection) the digital system significantly reduces the chance of damage to the load cells. The DLC utilizes two layers of voltage suppression to divert surges to earth ground and away from the scale.

Instant, automatic system diagnostics detect and identify failures in system components. Each load cell is identified by its digital signature, allowing a virtual breakdown of the scale data into section, corner and individual load cell performance. Load cell failures result in immediate notification to the user (even marginal failures that could go undetected between service checks on conventional systems).

Load-Cell Summation Boards (used with M2000A)
Summation boards are used in analog scale systems with multiple load cells. The signal voltages coming from the individual load cells are combined into a single signal going to the M2000A. Potentiometers on the summation board allow for section and corner adjustments.

Digital Load-Cell Converters as well as Summation Boards come in waterproof enclosures made of rigid PVC plastic or cast aluminum for scales in hazardous locations. Click the list below to view a DLC or a Summation Board.
